Poroshenko thanks Obama, Biden for contribution in Savchenko release
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko expressed his gratitude to United States President Barack Obama and Vice President Joseph Biden for their contribution in the release of Nadia Savchenko in a telephone conversation with Biden.
"The U.S. vice president congratulated the president of Ukraine on the release of Nadia Savchenko from the Russian prison. He also noted the president's huge role in securing her return to Ukraine. Petro Poroshenko thanked Joseph Biden personally and Barack Obama for their contribution in Nadia's release," the Ukrainian president's press office said after the conversation.
