NATO ex-secretary general Rasmussen to become advisor to Poroshenko
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has appointed NATO's former secretary general Anders Fogh Rasmussen as his non-staff advisor.
"To appoint Anders Fogh Rasmussen as Advisor to the Ukrainian President, on a freelance basis (upon consent)," according to the Ukrainian president's decree of May 27.
Rasmussen led the Danish government in 2001-2009 and served as NATO Secretary General from 2009 to 2014.
