Poroshenko calls for strengthening sanctions against – conversation with Biden
KYIV. May 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has noted the need to strengthen sanctions against Russia because of the systematic persecution and violations of rights of Crimean Tatars and Ukrainians in the Russian-occupied Crimea.
Poroshenko said this during a telephone conversation with U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden, the Ukrainian president's press service reported on its website.
The Ukrainian president also welcomed the decision by G7 to extend sanctions against Russia.
