Savchenko about her captivity: It wouldn't have happened had I had a hand grenade
Member of Parliament Nadia Savchenko says that should she have had a hand grenade when she was taken captive in Donbas, she would have made use of it to avoid imprisonment in Russia.
"I like that the lawyers did not spare my feelings. As Kolya [Nikolai Polozov, one of Savchenko's few lawyers] said – you shouldn't have been caught. That's right: If I had had a grenade – they wouldn't have caught me. Damn - – there was no grenade," she said at a press conference in Kyiv on Friday.
