The next stage in the process of reforming the Interior Ministry will be setting up a police academy and replacement of driver licensing offices for new service centers, Interior Minister Arsen Avakov has stated.
According to the ministry's communications department, Avakov said the reform of the Interior Ministry and the national police is one of the first, which is now carried out in Ukraine. Everyone can face it and feel personally. However, if the reform fails, it will be a very serious failure of the society's expectations.
"We cannot afford this. It is very difficult, we lack resources. We badly interact with the prosecutor's office, we have terrible courts, but only moving forward we can go the distance," Avakov stressed.
