Poroshenko to take part in World Humanitarian Summit in Istanbul
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko will make a working visit to Turkey on May 22 and May 23 to participate in the World Humanitarian Summit in Istanbul.
The press service of the head of state reported that Poroshenko will speak at the plenary session and take part in a roundtable devoted to the role of political leadership in preventing and ending conflicts.
The visit program includes bilateral meetings of the Ukrainian president with heads of states and governments participating in the summit.
For the first time the United Nations has convened the World Humanitarian Summit in Istanbul. The summit has been prepared for three years. The summit aims at initiating a set of concrete actions and commitments aimed at enabling countries and communities to better prepare for and respond to crises.
