Subsistence wage in Ukraine to grow by UAH 145 from Dec 1, minimum wage by UAH 150
The Verkhovna Rada has passed amendments to the 2016 national budget revising the increase of social standards from December 1 and providing for the increase of subventions to grant benefits and housing utilities subsidies to households.
An Interfax-Ukraine correspondent has reported that bill No. 4543 was backed by 248 lawmakers on Thursday.
Now the 2016 national envisages that from December 1, 2016 subsistence wage per person will be UAH 1,544 (from May 1 it is UAH 1,399). Earlier it was planned to increase to UAH 1,496.
Minimum living wage from December 1, 2016 will be UAH 1,600, while it was planned to increase it to UAH 1,550 (from May 1, 2016 minimum living wage is UAH 1,450).
