PGO finishes investigation into Sukholuchia expropriation case
The Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine has finished an investigation into a criminal case with former disgraced Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych accused of expropriation of land parcels of Sukholuchia hunting grounds, Head of the Special Investigation Department of Prosecutor General's Office Serhiy Horbatiuk has said.
"Investigation into one criminal case where the former president is suspected of expropriation of Sukholuchia areas has been finished and other suspects are studying the materials of the case," Horbatiuk said at a briefing in Kyiv on Wednesday.
He said that lawyers representing the interests of Yanukovych in the case said their client take part in court hearings when prosecutors file charges to court.
Sukholuchia is hunting grounds on the shore of the Kyiv Sea near the village of Sukholuchia in Vyshgorod district of Kyiv region.
