Three Donbas subgroups, excluding political one, converge in Minsk

Members of three subgroups from the Trilateral Contact Group for the settlement of conflict in eastern Ukraine have gathered in Minsk, the Luhansk Information Center has said, referring to a source close to the negotiations.

"Three groups, excluding the political one, have begun their day's meetings," the source said.

He said that Kyiv's representative to the political subgroup Volodymyr Horbulin had left the meeting in Minsk.

"Yesterday, at a meeting of the political subgroup, Horbulin announced his resignation and left the meeting ahead of time. He said he would not be participating any longer and left under the pretext of poor health [...]. Probably, this is another step towards thwarting the political provisions of the Minsk deal," he said.
