Ukraine needs to pass bill on financial services deregulation without changes to get aid from EU
Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Jan Tombinski has said that Ukraine needs to pass the bill on amendments to legislation on the deregulation of financial services to get further financial assistance from the European Union.
Speaking at a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday, Tombinski said that it would be nice if the Verkhovna Rada passed the bill on deregulation of the financial sector services in the second reading without changes.
This bill is important for the European Union to continue to provide its financial assistance to Ukraine, the diplomat said.
According to Tombinski, the adoption of this bill is stipulated in the association agreement between Ukraine and the EU.
In addition, the package of bills that need to be adopted includes a bill on environment protection and evaluation of environmental impact.
According to MP Maria Ionova of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc, the Verkhovna Rada will hold 'a day of Europe' when the bills envisaged in the EU-Ukraine association agreement will be considered.
