Consulate of Romania solemnly opened in Zakarpattia region – Ukraine Foreign Ministry
A solemn opening ceremony of Consulate of Romania has been held in the village of Solotvyno of Tiachivsky district of Zakarpattia region, reported Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.
The ceremony took place as a part of Ukrainian-Romanian events involving foreign chiefs of Romania and Ukraine – Lazar Comanescu and Pavlo Klimkin, the ministry reported on Friday evening.
During a working visit, the foreign chiefs of both states discussed the ways to implement the deals reached during Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko's visit to Romania on April 21, 2016.
The parties covered issues of trans-boundary and regional cooperation, infrastructure development, Ukrainian-Romanian national border, addressing of education and cultural concerns of Ukrainian national minority in Romania and Romanian minorities in Ukraine.
The ministers also presented citizens of two states permissions to cross a national border as a part of the acting agreement between the governments of two states on local border movement.
