Poroshenko sees Lutsenko as only one candidate for prosecutor general's chair – parliament speaker
Verkhovna Rada Chairman Andriy Parubiy has said that President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko see Yuriy Lutsenko, leader of Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction, as the only one candidate for a post of prosecutor general of Ukraine.
"No other candidates named during a talk with the president," Parubiy said on TV Channel 5 on Friday.
He also said that according to Poroshenko the prosecutor general should be appointed as soon as possible.
Previously Parubiy said that Lutsenko "was the best possible candidate for prosecutor general's post."
The parliamentary speaker also said he expects that lawmakers will approve president's nomination for prosecutor general's post at forthcoming plenary week within May 10-13.
