Media: Hungary calls on EU to grant free visa benefits to Ukraine and Georgia 'immediately'
The European Union should immediately relax visa rules for Ukraine and Georgia in terms of fulfillment by them of all necessary requirements, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Siarto said in an interview with Radio Svoboda (Radio Liberty).
"Ukraine should obtain visa liberalization with the European Union immediately. When I say 'immediately' – I literally mean it. I don't mean it in institutional aspect, but I mean what I say – immediately. Ukraine and Georgia have fulfilled all requirements of Brussels, thus, they should receive visa-free regime as soon as possible," the minister said following the meeting of Visegrad Four Foreign Ministers and Eastern Partnership states in Prague.
