Tuka appointed Deputy PM for temporarily occupied territories, IDPs – Groysman
Ex-governor of Luhansk region Heorhiy Tuka has been appointed deputy prime minister for the temporarily occupied territories and internally displaced persons.
Ukraine's Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman announced this at a Cabinet meeting on Friday.
The decision on this appointment was approved unanimously.
As reported, a source earlier told Interfax-Ukraine that Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko dismissed Heorhiy Tuka as head of Luhansk Region's Military-Civilian Administration, and the administration's new head will be presented on Friday
The reasons behind replacing the Luhansk region's head or the name of his successor are still unknown.
Some Ukrainian media outlets have named Petro Poroshenko Bloc MP Yuriy Harbuz, a native of Luhansk region, among possible candidates for the post.
