The Ukrainian consul general to Rostov-on-Don has informed Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko that Vira Savchenko, a sister of Ukrainian military aviator Nadia Savchenko convicted in Russia, has crossed the Russian-Ukrainian border and returned to Ukraine.
"PP [an abbreviation indicating messages written personally by Petro Poroshenko, as opposed to those posted for him by his aides]: the consul general in Rostov has just informed me that Vira Savchenko has crossed the Ukrainian border and is already on home turf," Poroshenko said in a message on his social media accounts on Thursday.
