Not a kopek from Ukraine's budget spent on Savchenko defense team

Batkivschyna party has financed a defense team granted to Ukrainian female pilot Nadia Savchenko, and no penny has been issued from the state budget for these aims, said Savchenko's lawyer Mark Feygin.

"I would once again like thank Oleksandr Plakhotniuk [Ukrainian lawyer] and the Batkivschyna Party, which within this long time has been helping us. I want to say not a kopek has been taken from the state budget of Ukraine, despite Russia's accusations that allegedly, personally Poroshenko [Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko] sponsors us – nothing of kind. No Ukrainian taxpayer money was spent on us. Batkivschyna helped us, and thank God," Feygin said at a press conference in Kyiv on Thursday.
