Minsk agreements implementation not precondition for Ukraine getting financial aid from US — Nuland
The matter of providing U.S. financial and technical assistance to Ukraine depends on the progress of reforms in the country and not on the implementation of the Minsk agreements, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland has said.
Speaking at a briefing in Kyiv on Wednesday, Nuland said the U.S. financial and technical assistance to Ukraine was linked to Ukraine's remaining on the path of reform, continued cooperation with the IMF, continued judicial reform and energy sector reform. These are the conditions, not the Minsk agreement implementation, she said.
