Poroshenko appoints Ihor Voronchenko as new acting head of Ukrainian Navy
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has met with Acting Commander of the Naval Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Lieutenant-General Ihor Voronchenko.
"Following my consultations with the secretary of Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council, the defense minister and the chief of general staff of Ukraine's army, I have decided to agree upon your candidacy. We are giving some time for you to be able to demonstrate your best qualities," Poroshenko was quoted by his press service on Monday.
On April 15, 2016, Poroshenko signed a decree dismissing Ukrainian Navy Commander Serhiy Haiduk.
