White House: Obama urges Putin to take steps to end uptick in eastern Ukraine fighting
U.S. President Barack Obama in a telephone talk with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin has urged Moscow to take measures to halt a splash of ceasefire breaches in the east of Ukraine, White House said on Monday.
"President Obama urged President Putin to take steps to end the significant uptick in fighting in eastern Ukraine and stressed the urgent importance of moving forward with full implementation of the Minsk agreements," according to a readout of the Obama's call with Putin.
