Rada endorses govt's action program, grants it one-year immunity
The Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada supported the action program of a new government led by Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman by 243 votes at a parliamentary session on Thursday, an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent reported.
Article 87 of the Ukrainian constitution stipulates that the Rada cannot hold the government accountable for its work for one year from the moment its action program is endorsed.
Earlier on Thursday, the parliament had failed twice to endorse the newly-appointed government's action program.
