Poroshenko: New government must continue cooperation with IMF and other IFIs
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko is confident that the new government must continue the program on cooperation with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and other international financial institutions (IFIs).
"I point out the imperative and mandatory necessity of continuing cooperation with the IMF and other international financial institutions which provide for the effective financial support of Ukrainian reforms," he said, speaking in parliament on Thursday.
Poroshenko said that he expects that with the new government economic growth and welfare of people, fight against corruption and improvement of investment climate will be seen. The president pointed out the importance of deregulation, transparent privatization and management of state-run enterprises.
