Rada speaker Groysman says he agrees to be prime minister in new govt
Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Groysman says he agrees to be prime minister in a future government and announces that the parliamentary coalition members have reached a compromise on the format of this government.
"We have agreed upon an acceptable format [of a government], which should help overcome the crisis in which we have found ourselves today," Groysman said in opening the Rada's morning session on Wednesday.
The coalition members will have an opportunity on Wednesday to discuss the Cabinet's format, he said.
"I think we will have an opportunity to meet today, to have a coalition meeting so as to vote on a new government and endorse an action program tomorrow," he said.
Groysman had said also in an address on his Facebook account on Wednesday morning that he agreed to lead a new government.
