Poroshenko ready to disband Rada unless coalition, new govt are formed this week
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has promised to disband the Verkhovna Rada unless a parliamentary coalition and a new government are formed this week, Poroshenko's representative to the Ukrainian parliament Stepan Kubiv has said.
"The political crisis settlement is a matter of days and hours. Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said that this week's parliamentary activity must yield a new government and a new coalition to be oriented towards reforms, the implementation of the association agreement with the EU, cooperation with the International Monetary Fund and the fight against corruption or otherwise the parliament will be disbanded," Kubiv said at a meeting of the conciliatory council of the heads of parliamentary factions, committees and groups on Monday.
