Ukrainian authorities say railroad bridge in Stanytsia Luhanska attacked
The area of a railroad bridge in Stanytsia Luhanska came under attack of small arms and an automatic grenade launcher at night, the Luhansk regional military-civilian administration has said.
The Ukrainian authorities put the blame on the militants.
Nineteen persons, mostly pensioners, were stranded at the Stanytsia Luhanska checkpoint at night, the administration said.
"Nineteen persons, mostly pensioners, were stranded at the checkpoint [in Stanytsia Luhanska] at night, as they failed to pass through before closing hours. I cannot put these people or servicemen at risk, which has been growing for this checkpoint day after day, so I have decided to shut down the checkpoint on April 8," Luhansk regional military-civilian administration head Heorhiy Tuka said.
