Poroshenko hopes Netherlanders will make responsible choice at referendum on April 6

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko hopes that Dutch citizens will vote responsibly at the referendum on the EU-Ukraine Association on April 6.

"We look forward to an efficient and responsible choice of Dutch citizens on April 6. We are absolutely sure that European integration and the implementation of the Association Agreement will not be stopped by this initiative," the president said at a press conference in Washington.

In his opinion, "it is very dangerous that the 45-million people country is becoming a victim of this discussion."

Poroshenko added that the Association Agreement is important for each European citizen and will open the 45-million consumer market for their producers.

He added he had discussed this issue with Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte during talks in Washington.
