Newly elected Kryvy Rih Mayor Yuriy Vilkul was sworn in on Thursday.
During a session of the Kryvy Rih City Council (Dnipropetrovsk region) Vilkul received a city head ID from Pavlo Hyvel, Kryvy Rih elections commission head.
Earlier claims with regard to elections were considered, the city's elections commission reported. It said 12 out of its 18 members approved the final results of the mayoral vote.
According to the final estimates, Vilkul won with 74.18% of support, while Semen Semenchenko (Samopomich) received 10.92% of votes. Other candidates received less than 5% of votes.
The turnout at the elections was 55.77%.
Overall, 15 candidates participated in the elections.
Kryvy Rih City Council has 64 deputies.
