Poroshenko gives 60 ambulances to Donetsk regional emergency center
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has given 60 emergency vehicles to departments of Donetsk Regional center for emergency medical care and catastrophe response.
"As of today, these vehicles should on the roads saving the lives of residents of our Kramatorsk and other cities of our Donbas," the president said at a meeting with medical workers in Kramatorsk.
Around 170 emergency teams in Donetsk region respond to around 1,500 calls daily, Poroshenko said.
Overall, there are seven emergency medical care stations on the Ukrainian territory of Donetsk region.
According to the presidential website, one ambulances is specifically equipped for newborn babies, while other 59 vehicles are of general purpose.
