SBU detains Yanukovych's accomplice for taking possession of Sukholuchia
The Security Service of Ukraine on behalf of the Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) in Kyiv has detained the accomplice of ex-President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, Andriy Babykin, who had been on the nationwide wanted list.
"According to the investigation, Babykin was one of the associates of Viktor Yanukovych involved in the misappropriation of the Sukholuchia land plot and held a senior position in Kyivuniversalservis LLC, which used funds obtained by criminal means to service (Yanukovych's residence) Mezhyhiria," the SBU press center said.
Babykin was delivered to the General Prosecutor's Office for questioning.
Sukholuchia is hunting grounds on the shore of the Kyiv Sea near the village of Sukholuchia in Vyshgorod district of Kyiv region.
