Poroshenko's press secretary conveys president's words of support to Savchenko
Ukraine will make every effort to secure the release of Nadia Savchenko, President Petro Poroshenko's Press Secretary Sviatoslav Tseholko has said.
"I passed the words of support from the Ukrainian president to Nadia Savchenko. Everyone is clear that this is a farce. This is why Ukraine will make every effort to increase pressure on Russia for the immediate release of Nadia Savchenko," Tseholko wrote on Facebook on Monday.
The criminal case against Savchenko is being heard by the Donetsk city court in Russia's Rostov region. The court began delivering its guilty verdict on Monday.
