PGO arrests tennis court in Kyiv, owned by company related to infrastructure minister under former president Yanukovych

The Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) has seized an indoor tennis court, which is owned by a company associated with the former Minister of Infrastructure under former Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych (2010-2014), according to the PGO public relations department.

According to the report, posted on the website of the Prosecutor General's Office, the accounts of the company have been also arrested. This entailed blocking fund transfers exceeding UAH 50 million.

The appropriate measures were taken due to the illegal alienation of immovable property by former officials of the Infrastructure Ministry and Pivdenno-Zakhidna Railways. The aim was to prevent a further alienation of illegally obtained immovable property and secure remuneration for damage caused on the basis of an earlier Kyiv Pechersky District Court ruling.

"Other measures to return the property to the state are currently being taken in accordance with the criminal procedural law," the report says.
