Yatseniuk tells Avakov to ask the West to help find beneficiaries of 42 non-resident companies
Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has instructed Ukraine’s Interior Ministry to start cooperation with its counterparts in Western countries in order to establish the identity of beneficiaries of 42 non-resident companies and to prevent ownership changes from taking place abroad.
"I ask Ukraine's Interior Minister Arsen Avakov to contact our Western partners, so that foreign law enforcement agencies help us discover ultimate owners of these companies, so that foreign law enforcers could prevent change of owners of these businesses abroad," Yatseniuk said at a governmental meeting on Wednesday in Kyiv.
Ukraine's prime minister said he passed all the relevant documents related to this issue to interior minister.
Yatseniuk also said that Rada had to adopt a bill, so that law enforcers could complete their investigations and confiscate assets of the mentioned companies legally.
