Cabinet's action plan foresees 1st phase of land market launch from Jan 1, 2017
The Cabinet of Ministers' action plan for 2016 foresees the creation of preconditions for launching a full-fledged land market after the expiration of the moratorium on agricultural land sale.
Thus, according to the plan, the first phase from January 1, 2017, provides for the sale of state-owned agricultural land, the second stage from January 1, 2019, opens the sale of agricultural land by individuals.
A bill on the sale of agricultural land is expected to be tabled in parliament in March.
The moratorium on the sale or alienation of agricultural land in Ukraine was extended in December 2015 until January 1, 2017.
The moratorium bans sale or purchase of agricultural land of state and municipal ownership until the bill on the sale of agricultural land comes into effect, but it should not be earlier than January 1, 2017.
