Saakashvili team mulls creation of political party
Acting deputy head of Odesa Regional State Administration's office for investment and development Sasha Borovik says close allies of Odesa governor Mikheil Saakashvili are discussing the idea of creating a political party.
"We will soon have a political program that will be election-oriented. This will be a centre-right, fiscally conservative, socially liberal program. We'd like to build a democratic, European-style party organization in which leaders are elected in a democratic way," he wrote on Facebook.
Borovik said the political crisis in Ukraine has already lasted four months. He said Ukraine's political elite were bankrupt and that new parliamentary elections should be called.
"Ukraine needs a new political elite," Borovik said.
