Savchenko plans to speak in court on March 9 – lawyer
Ukrainian pilot Nadia Savchenko accused by Russia of being involved in the murder of Russian journalists wishes to speak in court in Donetsk, Savchenko's lawyer Nikolai Polozov has said.
"Nadia Savchenko is determined to speak in court tomorrow [March 9]," Polozov tweeted.
"Today, on March 8, Ukrainian consuls Oleksandr Kovtun and Vitali Moskalenko again visited Nadia in the detention center in Novocherkassk and brought a message of congratulations. Nadia's health has not visibly deteriorated, she feels just like she felt yesterday," he said.
