A memorial event for Russian opposition politician, Boris Nemtsov, is scheduled to be held in Kyiv, on the anniversary of his death.
According to a report posted by the press service for the civil initiative Euromaidan SOS on Facebook, the event will take place on the Independence Square on February 27.
"We are protesting political persecution in Russia, we honor the memory of Boris Nemtsov, we grieve with his relatives and loved ones, we express our support for Russian political prisoners and solidarity with those who are being persecuted, but continue fighting. Russian and Ukrainian politicians, human rights activists, and civil activists will take part in the event," the report says.
The organizers have also announced a picket at the Russian embassy in Kyiv, which will be part of the Nemtsov memorial day.
