Saakashvili says he is hindered from destroying corruption at customs
Head of Odesa Regional Administration Mikheil Saakashvili has stated he is hindered from fighting against corruption at custom, the press service of Odesa State Regional Administration has said.
"The parliament has made a three-week break, having not registered our draft law on an open customs area. The committee told us the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko no longer supports the document, although the faction leadership has recently assured me of its full support for the bill," Saakashvili said.
According to him, the adoption of this law would allow for the first time in Ukraine to create new customs, block smuggling and corruption channels.
