Poroshenko, Biden discuss by phone continued pressure on Russia, de-occupation of Crimea – Ukrainian president's press service
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden had a telephone conversation on Thursday during which they discussed the continued pressure on Russia in order to make it comply with the Minsk agreements and reverse the annexation of Crimea.
Poroshenko briefed Biden about the situation in Donbas, the Ukrainian president's press service reported.
At the same time, he emphasized that Ukraine didn't notice any signs of de-escalation by Russia and pro-Russian militants.
The parties discussed further steps in order press Russia into abiding by the Minsk agreements, and the political and diplomatic means of de-occupation of Crimea, the press service said.
