An investigation into the case of Ukraine's fugitive ex-president Viktor Yanukovych has been almost finished, his involvement in the killings on Maidan has been established, Ukraine's Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin said.
"The case is virtually completed. It is clear that he was masterminding the killings on Maidan through his people," Shokin said on air of Inter TV Channel on Sunday night.
Answering the question if he believed Yanukovych could be brought to justice, Shokin said: "Yes … As soon as the war in the east ends – and I hope it will stop – then common sense and the international law will prevail, and we will be able to get Yanukovych here to Ukraine."
