Parliament ratifies protocol on emission and pollutants registers
The Ukrainian parliament has ratified a protocol on the registers of emissions and pollutants – the database on permits, reports and audit materials in the environment protection area.
A total of 233 lawmakers backed bill No. 0078 on the ratification of the protocol.
The ratification implies the creation of a united unified electronic system to have access to information on permits, reports and audit materials in the environment protection area for authorities and the public.
The system would include reports, environmental audit materials and would allow submitting documents to receive permits in the electronic form and having systemic information to make ecologically important decisions.
The registers are the national or regional ecological database of potentially hazardous chemicals or pollutants emitted to the air, water and soil and transported from territories of enterprises for recycling and disposal.
