Ukraine and Canada to sign FTA agreement in 2016 – Yatseniuk
Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk expects signing and ratification of the free trade area agreement between Ukraine and Canada in 2016.
"We have reached a mutual decision that such an agreement [on the free trade area] should be finally signed and submitted to the national parliaments for ratification," the premier said during a meeting with Canadian Foreign Minister Stephane Dion in Kyiv on Monday, while speaking about the agenda of the bilateral relations in 2016.
Yatseniuk said that this agreement would contribute to the military and economic resistance to the Russian aggression.
As reported, in July, 2015, Ukraine and Canada signed an agreement on the completion of the negotiations on the free trade area between the countries.
