Poroshenko, Merkel to discuss ceasefire, weapons withdrawal, prisoners release in Donbas during Berlin meeting
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and German Chancellor Angela Merkel will discuss problems with the Donbas settlement at their meeting planned in Berlin, Ukrainian president's envoy to the Verkhovna Rada Stepan Kubiv has said.
"Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko is on a working visit to the Federal Republic of Germany. It is planned to discuss, during the meeting, ways to intensify the implementation of the Minsk Agreements, particularly the complete ceasefire by militants, the withdrawal of heavy weapons by Russia, and release of all hostages," Kubiv said, during the meeting with the Verkhovna Rada's coordination board.
