Parliament ratifies agreements between Ukrainian and German governments on financing modernization of water sector in Chernivtsi
The Ukrainian parliament has ratified the agreement between the Ukrainian and German governments on financial cooperation under municipal Climate Protection Program II (Municipal water supply system project in Chernivtsi, stage 1).
Bill No. 0074 on the ratification of the agreement was supported by 243 lawmakers on Wednesday.
The agreement between the Ukrainian and German governments on financial cooperation under municipal Climate Protection Program II concerns liabilities to finance the municipal water supply system project in Chernivtsi and it was signed on February 6, 2015 in Kyiv.
According to the agreement, the German government provides a possibility of receiving a loan of up to EUR 17 million by the Ukrainian government or other borrowers that are to be jointly selected by the governments of the two countries.
Under the agreement, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will send the credit to Chernivtsivodokanal.
