Three km quarantine zone introduced in Poltava region to avoid spreading ASF
The police in Poltava region are taking quarantine measures to prevent spreading African Swine Fever (ASF).
The press service of the road safety division of the preventive control department of the National Police of Ukraine reported that a three-kilometer quarantine zone has been introduced near Lypove and Ustymivka (Kobeliaky district).
"Movement of vehicles is restricted in the area, and animal products, fodder and other cargo are banned from removing from its territory. Four veterinary police checkpoints with police officers and veterinary service employees are established," the press service said.
The police said that the measures will last until ASF is completely liquidated in the region.
