Ukrainian aviation authorities allow airliner carrying Russian rep on Trilateral Contact Group to arrive in Ukraine
The State Aviation Service of Ukraine has received an official letter from the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry on the basis of which it issued a permit for a special flight of Rossia government air team.
Interfax was told at the aviation authority on Monday that the airliner carried an official delegation led by Boris Gryzlov, Russia's representative on the Trilateral Contact Group on the settlement of the situation in Donbas.
Earlier Interfax reported quoting an informed source that Gryzlov arrived in Kyiv on Monday.
The source linked the visit to the meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group scheduled to be held in Minsk on January 13.
Gryzlov was appointed permanent representative of Russia in the Trilateral Contact Group on the settlement of the situation in eastern Ukraine by a decree issued by Russian President Vladimir Putin on December 26, 2015.
The latest meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group was held on December 22, 2015.
