Lufthansa to return to Odesa with two flights a week, Austrian Airlines to increase number of flights
Germany's Lufthansa, after a two-year break, will resume flights to the Odesa airport, and from March 31, 2016 will fly from Odesa to Munich twice a week.
The press service of Lufthansa Group reported that Canadair Regional Jet CRJ900 with a carrying capacity of up to 90 passengers will service the flight.
Additionally, Austrian Airlines, part of Lufthansa Group, will increase the number of flights on the Odesa-Vienna route starting from summer 2016: the airline will service the flights every day.
Lufthansa started flying to Ukraine 24 years ago. Today, two airlines, part of Lufthansa Group, fly to Ukraine: Lufthansa German Airlines and Austrian Airlines. The airlines fly from Kyiv, Lviv, Dnipropetrovsk and Odesa. The share of Lufthansa Group of the Ukrainian aviation market is around 12%.
