State mines with wage arrears will get budgetary support after programs are agreed – Energy Ministry
State coal mining enterprises with wage arrears will receive budgetary support after the appropriate programs are approved, the press service of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine has said.
"The national budget of Ukraine for 2016, approved in the last days of the last year, foresees the use of UAH 500 million for repayment of debts of coal mining enterprises. To do this it is necessary as soon as possible to prepare appropriate documentation, work on this is being conducted from the first days of the year," reads the report.
At the same time, the ministry noted that the only way not to accumulate debt is increasing the efficiency of mines.
