Kyiv observes 22 violations of truce by militants in Donbas
Militants' activity relatively reduced in Donbas on Tuesday, the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) press center has written on Facebook.
Militants conducted 14 attacks on Ukrainian units, mostly random, in the period from 6 p.m. on Tuesday till midnight, it said. Precision fire on Ukrainian army positions by use of large-caliber machineguns was observed near Novotroyitske, ten kilometers north of Volnovakha. In addition, militants shelled Ukrainian strongholds on the approaches to Maryinka using small arms and grenade launchers, and a sniper was active in the Opytne area.
Random fire on Ukrainian positions was reported from the areas of Pisky, Opytne, Novhorodske and Troitske. The assailants were mostly using small arms and grenade launchers.
In all, militants breached the 'full truce' 22 times during the past 24 hours. There have been no shelling incidents on Wednesday. Ukrainian servicemen did not return fire, the press center said in the report.
