Poroshenko calls on Ukrainian scientists to focus on energy efficiency, promises to finance it

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has called Ukrainian scientists to focus their activities on the energy efficiency projects.

"We have funds for energy efficiency. We raised $200 million specifically for that. We are waiting for your projects," the head of state said at the meeting with the scientists, professor staff and parliamentarians, who deal with science development in Ukraine.

The president drew attention to the results of the recent Paris Summit on Climate Change.

"This is a revolution. We've got a continuation of Kyoto achievements…This enables us to get the world's funds for the development of energy saving, energy efficiency and environmental protection," he said.
