Ukrainian military accuse militants of continuing to shell Vodyane village near Mariupol
The armed opponents of the Kyiv authorities have not stopped shelling the village of Vodyane (Donetsk region) not far from Mariupol in the buffer zone on the contact line between the warring sides, Kyiv says.
This afternoon, militants launched more strikes against this populated area, using 120-millimeter mortars prohibited by the Minsk agreements, the military operation's press office said on Facebook on Friday. They were fired from the village of Zaichenko; 82-millimeter mortars were fired from the Kominternove area.
This information has also been confirmed by Vodyane residents who now have to hide themselves in basements, the press office said.
Ukraine said earlier that militants had shelled Vodyane around midday.
