Rada grants access to foreign military units to Ukraine for exercises in 2016
The Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, has approved the bill authorizing the admission of units of armed forces of other states into the territory of Ukraine in 2016 for the participation in multinational exercises.
Relevant bill No. 3720 was supported by 239 MPs in the early hours of Friday, an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent reported.
According to the document, in 2016, Ukraine will host four exercises with the participation of foreign military servicemen.
In particular, the parliament approved a decision of the Ukrainian president on granting access to foreign armed units for the participation in the Maple Arch 2016 multinational military drills, the Ukrainian-U.S. military exercises Sea Breeze 2016, and the Ukrainian-U.S. military exercises Rapid Trident 2016 ".
